Promoting digital skills, media literacy, and creative expression.

Don Bosco Pravahini is BIRDY’s communication and media education platform. It trains young people and educators in photography, videography, digital editing, scriptwriting, and media literacy, helping them become responsible and creative digital citizens. Pravahini also produces short films, documentaries, and campaigns on pressing social issues such as mental health, online safety, and climate change. By combining creativity with technical skills, it gives youth the tools to express themselves and influence society positively through media.

The Family Life Support wing, also known as Retrouvaille, is dedicated to strengthening relationships and building resilient family systems. It offers structured workshops, peer mentoring, and communication skill-building designed for couples and parents navigating the challenges of today’s fast-changing society.

Its programs emphasize emotional well-being, conflict transformation, and positive parenting, enabling families to create nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive. By fostering family stability and resilience, this sector contributes directly to healthier communities and sustainable youth development.

The Don Bosco LiFE (Leadership in Fullness for Everyone) Mission Office leads BIRDY’s sustainability and fundraising initiatives. It builds partnerships with donors, CSR partners, and alumni to mobilize resources for youth education, skill training, and community projects. Alongside resource development, LiFE promotes ecological responsibility through campaigns such as Grow Bosco, which targets large-scale tree plantation and campus greening initiatives. The office ensures transparency, accountability, and innovation in connecting resources with real impact for young people and their communities.

The Research & Development wing of BIRDY functions as a knowledge hub that studies the realities and challenges of young people today. It conducts surveys, needs assessments, and policy research on issues like digital behaviour, mental health, family dynamics, employability, and ecological awareness. The insights gathered are used to design practical interventions, guide program strategy, and provide evidence-based recommendations to educators, institutions, and policymakers. By grounding youth initiatives in research, this sector ensures relevance, sustainability, and measurable impact.

Curating content resources for youth growth, education, and cultural engagement.

The Don Bosco Publishing House at BIRDY is a center for ideas, learning, and creative expression. Established in 2001, it has grown into a hub for publishing magazines, journals, and books that focus on youth development, leadership, and community engagement.

Its flagship publications include Bosco Margam, a Telugu magazine that highlights culture and social issues, and Kaburlu, an English quarterly bulletin connecting educators, youth networks, and community partners. The house has also produced over 50 books on life skills, leadership, and inspirational themes, alongside practical resources for schools and training centers.

Beyond publishing, it runs workshops on writing, journalism, and communication skills, nurturing the next generation of storytellers and thought leaders. With ongoing plans to expand into digital formats, the Publishing House continues to make knowledge accessible, engaging, and relevant for today’s learners and communities.
