Participants of the Design Your Dream (DYD) – Batch 2 program held at BIRDY, Hyderabad, bringing together 54 students from Don Bosco School, Nalgonda for a three-day journey of personal growth, leadership training, and life skills development.

The Design Your Dream (DYD) program continues to create impactful learning experiences for young people, supporting them in building clarity, confidence, and essential life skills. Held from 21–23 November 2025, Batch 2 brought together 54 students from Don Bosco School, Nalgonda for an immersive three-day camp blending self-discovery, leadership training, and career awareness.

Day 1: Arrival & Orientation

The program began on the evening of November 21st with students arriving at the BIRDY campus. After registration and settling in, they took part in a brief orientation designed to foster comfort, connection, and readiness for the sessions ahead.

Day 2: Learning, Leadership & Life Skills

The second day was filled with engaging workshops led by a team of experienced facilitators.

Inaugural Reflections

The morning began with opening messages by:

  • Fr Yeruva Joji, Youth Director of the Province

  • Fr Maddhichetty Noel, Director of BIRDY

Their inputs highlighted the importance of self-belief, discipline, and dreaming with purpose.

Key Sessions of the Day

1. Orientation to a Meaningful Life – Mr. Kandula Anvesh

A powerful exploration of purpose, self-awareness, and building a meaningful and disciplined lifestyle.

2. The Dream of Don Bosco – Fr Yeruva Joji

An interactive session encouraging students to discover their own dreams while understanding the roots of youth empowerment through education.

3. Career Counselling & Goal Setting – Fr Dasari Johannes

A practical workshop on choosing academic paths, recognizing talents, and setting achievable goals.

4. Technology for Meaningful Living – Fr Muthyala Sudhakar

A timely reminder on responsible technology use, digital well-being, and harnessing online tools for personal growth.

5. Ecological Leadership – Fr Maddhichetty Noel

A session focusing on environmental responsibility and the role of young citizens in protecting the planet.

6. Value-Based Leadership – Mrs. Kiran Jyostna

A training module on empathy, teamwork, character formation, and leading through values.

7. Life Skills Workshops – Mr. Alphonse, Ms. Salome & Ms. Serena

Interactive exercises covering communication skills, emotional intelligence, collaboration, and relationship-building.

Evening Gathering

The day ended with group-building activities, creative interactions, and reflection circles that strengthened student confidence and bonding.

Day 3: Reflection & Moving Forward

The final morning included a guided reflection led by Fr Markapudi Pratap, encouraging students to consolidate what they learned and visualize practical steps toward their dreams. The camp concluded with shared feedback and a renewed sense of motivation.

Impact & Key Outcomes

The DYD Batch 2 program helped students:

  • Build clarity in academic and career planning

  • Strengthen leadership and communication skills

  • Develop teamwork, empathy, and emotional intelligence

  • Understand sustainable and responsible lifestyle choices

  • Gain motivation and confidence to pursue their personal goals
