The Design Your Dream (DYD) initiative has expanded further with Batch 3, engaging 160 Class 9 students from Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda Jagir. Over two days, the program offered structured, hands-on sessions designed to help students build self-confidence, leadership abilities, and clarity for the future.
Opening Moments: Encouraging Purpose & Direction
The program began with an inspiring message from Fr Maddhichetty Noel. He emphasized the importance of goal-setting, discipline, and nurturing a growth-oriented mindset. Students were encouraged to reflect on their aspirations and remain open to the learning process. This initial session set a positive tone for the days ahead.
Workshops That Inspired Growth & Awareness
1. Orientation Towards a Meaningful Life – Mr. Kandula Anvesh
In this thoughtful session, students explored concepts of purpose, identity, self-worth, and leading a meaningful life. Mr. Anvesh guided them to think deeply about what truly matters to them.
2. Discovering One’s Dream – Fr Yeruva Joji
Fr Joji led an engaging session that encouraged students to explore their personal dreams, strengths, and long-term vision. This exploration was vital for helping them understand their unique paths.
3. Designing One’s Dream – Career Counselling – Fr Pale Justin
In this session, students gained insights into various career options and academic focus areas. Fr Justin helped them understand how to make informed choices for their future. This knowledge is crucial for shaping their aspirations.
4. Technology for Meaningful Living – Fr Muthyala Sudhakar
Fr Sudhakar conducted a relevant workshop on digital awareness. He taught students how to use technology consciously and develop healthy online habits. This knowledge is essential in today’s digital age.
Day 2: Leadership, Values & Communication Skills
At the BIRDY Hall, the second day focused on personal development, leadership ethics, and communication skills. This day was packed with valuable insights.
5. Values-Based Leadership – Fr Sudhakar / Fr Joji
This session explored empathy, responsibility, teamwork, and ethical decision-making in everyday life. Fr Sudhakar and Fr Joji emphasized the importance of values in leadership.
6. Life Skills & Communication – Mrs. Kiran Jyostna & Team
Mrs. Jyostna and her team delivered highly interactive modules. These sessions strengthened communication, collaboration, confidence, and emotional intelligence. Students participated enthusiastically, engaging in activities that encouraged reflection, teamwork, and practical learning.
Closing Reflections: A Transformative Experience
The program concluded with a summary session that highlighted key takeaways. Students shared their insights and expressed appreciation for the engaging, supportive, and transformative learning environment. This reflection allowed them to consolidate their learning and recognize their growth.
